What is Humenews?

Humenews is a site designed to provide information on a wide range of subject's and interests for the internet community. The name Hume is derived from the Scottish sir name Hume, which originally pronounced "home". The name has spread to Australia and the United States where there are villages, towns, a city, a highway and even a lake that bears that name. Notable people that have born the name include a British Prime Minister, Australian superintendent of convicts and farmers, a Cardinal Archbishop of Westminster, a Scottish historian, a South African explorer, a British Artist, Canadian footballer, a Northern Irish Politician, A British political reformer, an English composer, a news reporter, and most notably David Hume, the 18th century philosopher, economist and historian. Hume is also a soil, a computer language and is the name of the Human Race in the computer game Final Fantasy. With all that in mind Humenews was chosen to report on the varied places, activities and interests that humans are exploring.
